Socrates Sculpture Park’s Annual Kite Flight event 5/19

Socrates Sculpture Park’s annual Kite Flight event, in collaboration with the Noguchi Museum, welcomes over 1,000 kids! You can fulfill your community service hours while helping provide an amazing workshop and event for the community. The workshop will be led by teaching artists Miwa Koizumi and Marco Scoffier (metm.org<http://metm.org/>) who will guide everyone through the process of making kites out of recycled plastic bags. Volunteers are needed from 10:00am-3:00pm.

May 19: Kite Flight / 11 AM – 2 PM (volunteer check-in at 10am)
Using recycled materials, participants will draw inspiration from the Park’s fantastic view of the Manhattan skyline to build and decorate a kite, and then fly it in the Park.
