ANNOUNCING CIVIC ACTION DAY AT SOCRATES SCULPTURE PARK ON EARTH DAY:
SUNDAY, APRIL 22nd 9:30AM-2:00PM
In collaboration with Western Queens Compost Initiative and Partnerships for Parks, Socrates Sculpture Park and The Noguchi Museum are hosting a community service day for teens. To perform their civic act, teenagers are invited to join us for workshops in tree care, planting and composting, or simply help with general clean-up, to prepare the Park for its upcoming season. FOOTSTEPS FOR PROGRESS WALK:
SATURDAY, APRIL 21st at 8:30AM
The Queens Center for Progress’ (QCP) Annual Walk helps to raise funds for people with developmental disabilities. The money collected helps to make up the cost of necessary equipment not covered by government funding. Participants will walk from the QCP Center located at 81-15 164th Street in Jamaica to Kissena Park in Flushing and back to the center where brunch will be served.
